Review: The Memory Man
The Memory Man by Helen SmithMy rating: 2 of 5 stars
I couldn't understand the story. It is too vague and leaves too much for the readers to think/assume.
I rate it 3/10.

Review: 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage from Good to Great
5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage from Good to Great by Terri L. OrbuchMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
[Note: I got this book for free on read-to-review basis. Thanks to the publisher River grove books and NetGalley.]
My first comment about this book is that it is full of wisdom. The subject of the book is marital life but one can apply it, more or less, in any relationship.
The book is based on scientific research and scientific research is quite valuable when it is made available to common people in a format which is easy to understand. In this aspect I think that the author has succeeded tremendously.
The 5 steps that the book talk about are -
1. Expect less and get more.
2. Give incentives and rewards
3. Have daily briefing
Here the author discusses "10 minute rule" which is quite interesting.
4. Implement change
Emphasis is more on yourself than on your partner. The expectation is that the partner will reciprocate.
5. KEEP COSTS LOW, BENEFITS HIGH
The book says -A common characteristic of unhappy marriages is that chronic disagreements remain unresolved. Work on the smaller things that irritate you everyday and fix them constructively.
More sex. More attention. More kindness. More fun. More connection. This books' five simple steps are the way to get there.
I give it 10/10.

Review: The Magic of the Lost Temple
The Magic of the Lost Temple by Sudha MurtyMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is kind of a OK book for children. The book which I read had around 203 pages.
The story of the king somanayaka was more intriguing than the main theme of the book.
The book occasionally becomes preachy.
